The US government opened a US embassy in Bengaluru, India on 17 Jan 2025. This will be the sixth U.S. consulate in India after Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and Hyderabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and US Ambassador Eric Garcetti attended the inauguration ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They will be operating from a temporary location at the JW Marriott Hotel on Vittal Mallya Road while looking for a permanent physical location as shared by ET<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The visa services are not available to the general public at this time. The US embassy in Bengaluru will provide details of what types of visas will be processed here in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Karnataka state is home to nearly 700 U.S. companies and tens of thousands of U.S. citizens who live, visit, study, and work in Karnataka \u2013 creating jobs in both the United States and India. <\/p>\n\n\n\n We searched and could not find the dedicated page for the Bengaluru consulate on their website<\/a> at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Neither did we find any official Twitter handle dedicated to the Bengaluru embassy.
